- The Egyptian Museum in Cairo: Start your tour at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities in Tahrir Square. See the largest collection of Egyptian art in the world, with more than 250,000 artifacts from Egyptian history. The museum’s exhibits include a room dedicated to the treasures of King Tutankhamun, buried in his tomb for more than 3,500 years before they were discovered in the 1920s.
- Citadel of Saladin: Tour the Medieval part of Cairo, including the Citadel of Saladin and its Alabaster Mosque, before heading to the Great Pyramids of Giza to explore the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerions. Marvel at the is the largest pyramid ever built at the Pyramid of Cheops, while next to it, in the Valley Temple, you will get a close-up look at the Great Sphinx, a huge funeral complex guarded by the legendary statue of a lion’s body with the face of King Chephren.
- Khan Al-Khalili: Return to Cairo to wander the maze of alleys at the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where you can try out your bargaining skills and see if you can bag a souvenir bargain of antiques, Egyptian rugs, and jewelry, before your return flight to Luxor.
