- Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Socorro: The place of the big mosque later converted into a Jesuit centre, the very heart of the neighborhood. Vila Andrade is next door and has also connections with fado.
- Monumento Mouraria Berco do Fado: Rua do Capelão, the cradle of fado, an incredible tiny street, full of history and legends concerning Lisbon song.
- Casa Fernando Mauricio: The streets where Fernando Maurício was born, lived and died. A start who never wanted to be a star, a legend of fado and Mouraria.
- Capela de Nossa Senhora da Saude: A small church which is at the center of one one the most popular processions in Lisbon. It is also a symbol of resistance of fado and popular culture against the Estado Novo totalitarian regime that vowed to destroy Mouraria in the name of progress.
