“Icheri Sheher” (Old City), known as "the fortress" - a unique historical and architectural preserve in the center of Baku. One of the oldest and densely populated areas of the country and even in the Middle East. The the most famous historical monuments - Maiden Tower and Shirvanshah Palace (13th-16th century) are located in the Old City.
